MoU signed
In the presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah and Electronics and Information Technology Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed regarding PACS in the cooperative sector. In this, especially the Ministry of Cooperatives, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, NABARD and Common Service Center e-Governance Services India Limited will participate. All these will unite and work to increase the scope of packs.
More than 300 CSC services will be available

This is a historic step taken in the field of cooperatives. Under the new scheme, more farmers will be linked to PACS. With the help of packs, more than 300 CSC services will be available to the farmers and rural population.
2 lakh packs will be made in 5 years
The Union Home Minister said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi It is the dream of Pax to be delivered to every part of the country. For this, 2 lakh packs will be made in the next 5 years. How important is the role of cooperative sector in the country. This can be gauged from the fact that about 50 percent of the country’s population is associated with cooperatives in one way or the other. Cooperatives are also working to make the people and farmers of rural areas economically prosperous. In view of this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a historic decision to create a separate Ministry of Cooperatives. Today the poor farmers of the country are getting its benefits.
20 different activities will be conducted
The exercise to increase the scope of PACS is going on. PACS will now be able to run 20 different activities including water distribution, storage, bank mitra. Right now the government is trying to make the services available at the common service centers accessible to the poor and farmers through packs only. Efforts are going on in this direction.
What is Pax?
It is called Primary Agricultural Credit Society. It is a grass root unit and one of the smallest co-operative credit institution in India. It works at the level of village panchayat considering the poor and the farmers. PACS were formed to ensure that farmers do not get trapped in the clutches of moneylenders.
